My coaching service is a little different.
When I started writing, I was a single mother living with my mom in an isolated rural community. I didn’t have the time or money to go to conventions or workshops, and I lived so far from any other writers I might as well have been living on the moon. The internet was full of advice, but a lot of it was contradictory. And most editors and writing coaches came with a big commitment and a HUGE price tag.
I just wanted to know: Am I doing this right? Am I talented enough? Am I actually getting better at writing? What do I do next?
I spent years struggling to get anywhere with my writing. I almost gave up a million times. And I don’t want you to go through that crap.
Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of writers polish their manuscripts for publication. I’ve read thousands of submissions. As a freelance ghost editor, I’ve helped lots of novelists take their books to the next level. So why not let me help you?

- Sign up for each coaching session when you need it, instead of being locked into a big package.
- Tailor each session to your needs. Need a pep talk? No problem. Editorial consult? No problem. Project management issues? Solved.
- Clear and simple pricing. Flat fees make it easy to budget.
So how does it work?
Email me (wendy at winniewoohoo.com) to let me know just what you need for this particular session. You’ll be able to choose from two basic packages: a simple video chat or a video chat combined with editorial notes. I’ll email you back to sort out scheduling.
Package 1: A 30-minute video chat. Let’s dig into whatever you need to talk about! Do you need help setting goals? Want to discuss a submissions plan for your next novel? On the fence about whether to publish your work traditionally or going indie? Let’s chat!

Package 2: A 30-minute video chat combined with editorial feedback*. You send me a piece of writing of up to 5,000 words, and then we have a video chat to discuss your work. I’ll also email you a page of notes and anything I noted on the manuscript. (I’ll use Google Docs to send the notes.) We can talk about potential markets, about how the piece is progressing … whatever you need!

*One important note to consider: I can’t consider anything I read as a coach for inclusion in Nightmare or Lightspeed magazines.
