Podcast Edition of a Short Story!

Bittersweet feelings about this one—I’m delighted to finally have a short story podcast by J.S. Arquin’s Pacific NW-focused fiction podcast, The Overcast! But I’m sad, because it’s the very last episode of the show. J.S. has simply gotten too busy to continue the project.

Consider this fantasy tale, “Words of Power” (originally published in the anthology Shattered Shields, edited by Jennifer Brozek and Bryan Thomas Schmidt), a farewell story for the podcast.

Need a spooky new tale?

My Astoria-inspired story, “Drift Right,” is now available to hear at Pseudopod! It’s part of their Artemis Rising special series, which features women creators in genre fiction. You can check it out here.

It’s so exciting to hear your work adapted to audiobook! I got totally geeked out when I listened to this taster.

Can’t wait for the whole book to be available!

New audio edition of “Rabbits”

One of my favorite short stories that I’ve written is the story “The Secret of Calling Rabbits,” which originally appeared in the anthology The Way of the Wizard. There’s something charming about the interaction between the tough dwarf and the sweet little girl, and I can’t actually read it out loud because I get teary.

Luckily, there’s a new recording “The Secret of Calling Rabbits” up at Far Fetched Fables. It’s a lovely recording, so go enjoy it!

Give your ears a treat!

My story “The Secret of Calling Rabbits” is up on Podcastle this week! John Meagher does an amazing job reading it, and it totally made me tear up.

Mmmn, toasty…

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Tina Connolly’s narrations, now is a great time to start! Tina is running the podcast Toasted Cake, and today she’s reading my dinosaurian poem, “Stone Queen.” Thanks, Tina! You sound great!
